'Stone Circle' - 2011 Old Tree Shou Puerh- High Grade

Harvested and fermented in 2011, and pressed in 2013, by the Ming Dee Tea Factory- made from the old growth (200-300 y.o.) tea trees of northern Thailand. "High Grade" refers to the fact that the material in these cakes is comprised of a uniform 'one bud and two leaves' picking. You can see in the photos, the leaf material for these cakes was carefully selected.  13 years of aging in the Thai mountains has transformed this tea into a shou puerh lover's dream..

A soft, smooth and balanced puerh that holds up nicely to many infusions. Woody chocolate (chocolatey wood?) notes are dominant here.
